SENAI Team Update: Announcing the Addition of Socorro Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity
Socorro To Make Inaugural Appearance at SENAI 2022
The SENAI Circle is thrilled to announce the addition of the Socorro Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity to the 11th Annual Striking Eagle Native American Invitational that will take place on the campus of UNM - Albuquerque at Johnson Gymnasium from December 27-29, 2022.
Socorro Girls
Socorro Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity both will be making their first appearance at SENAI. They become the 16th State Qualifying team overall from last season to join us for SENAI 2022 and the 9th team among the Girls division field. As both the regular season and tournament champs of District 3 - 3A, they would be selected as the No. 6 seed in the 2021 NM 3A State Playoffs. They would capture a home win against No. 11 West Las Vegas and play their final game of the season against 2021 Turtle Bracket Runner-up, Santa Fe Indian School, in the quarterfinals round.

If you would like to be a part of the 11th Annual Striking Eagle Native American Invitational, please have your Athletic Director(s) contact Dr. Shawn Secatero at: ssecater@unm.edu for registration forms and additional event information. We are currently accepting entries from Varsity, Junior Varsity, and C-Teams as well as Middle School Teams for our Middle School Division. Any School, Native or Non-Native, that is recognized by their respective State Athletic/Activities Association is welcome to inquire about registration.
